Teen singer Justin Bieber and country sensation Taylor Swift have both been nominated for awards at this year's Country Music Television awards (CMT).
Other stars who have also been recognised in the nominations include Rascal Flatts and the already award winning Lady Antebellum.
Justin Bieber is up for an award for the first time at the CMT awards with his reworked version of his worldwide hit That Should Be Me which features Rascal Flatts.
One of the biggest awards at the CMT is widely accepted as being the one for video of the year and in this category Taylor Swift is leading the nominations with her video for Mine but she will be fighting off competition from Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, the Zac Brown Band, Carrie Underwood and The Band Perry.
Taylor Swift said: “The fact that the fans have done that much for me in such a short period of time is unreal, and I am so excited and so thankful.”
She added: “I have gotten to experience just parts of the world I never thought I would get to see, nonetheless play shows in and have the crowds singing back to me.”
The CMT awards will be taking place on June 8 in the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee.
